Challenge

The project needed specialty construction materials across three origin markets. The procurement team did not have the bandwidth to run three supplier audits, three freight coordinations, and three customs clearances in parallel.

They needed one Dubai contact, one reconciled PO, and one landed cost, without losing the unit economics of going directly to each origin.

Solution

HWY27 ran audited supplier shortlists in UAE, Turkey, and China. We staggered the PO so that each origin shipped against its own optimised freight window. The UAE portion went direct to site. Turkey and China portions consolidated at a Jebel Ali bonded warehouse and released to site in a single reconciled sequence.

Landed cost transparency held across all three origins. Final site delivery was closed inside 41 days against a 12 week regional baseline.

What we learned together

Multi origin sourcing fails most often at freight synchronisation, not at the factory. Staggering the PO against each freight window and consolidating at a Jebel Ali bonded warehouse gives the client one reconciled delivery and one landed cost, instead of three parallel workstreams that each run their own clock.
